For school students, anxiety about grades is nothing new. But this year, scholars also could be concerned about the H1N1 influenza pathogen and missing classes.

Dorinda Lambert, associate director of Kansas State University’s’s support services, asserts that scholars could be worried about getting sick, but only insofar as it’ll affect their capability to perform their academic obligations.

“Stress about the H1N1 is probably stress that’s mainly from fogeys who worry about their kids,” Lambert expounded.  “Most of the scholars themselves are feeling pressure about college and not wanting to miss anything.”

To handle this anxiety, Lambert expounded that the very first thing scholars should do is get the facts about the H1N1 pathogen, including the best practices in prevention.

“Listen to what the doctors are telling you, listen to what public health officials are enlightening you and follow those instructions,” she announced.
